Making a Difference in the Neighborhoods
We had the privilege to send teams two mornings to work with Extreme Community Makeover. ECM coordinates volunteer teams to partner with underserved people to improve their homes and neighborhoods "One Block at a Time."
We cleaned alleys over several blocks by picking up trash, pulling weeds, and painting over graffiti. During this chore, several residents asked our group what we were doing. We were able to explain that God had sent us to Denver to share His love with them. It was apparent after the hard work of our group that a difference had been made in these neighborhoods.
